"Francis Sharpe Hearne, was a man of strong intellect and fine business qualities, a member of the Methodist church and of large wealth, and at his death left the largest estate of any man in Putnam County. A great deal of his land he acquired under the Head Right System of Georgia, and much of it is still held by his descendents....
