Margaret Lou lists his birth as 13 AUG 1872, which matches the age given
at his marriage. Mary Margaret Beach and Linda Long list his birth as 13 AUG
1871.

assumed he had taken his own life.

Harris gives birth date and place. NOTES: It is this letter which forms the
base for much of the family records of Carolyn Cragun. Letter lists middle name
as Lou. Mary Margaret Beach lists birthdate as 7 APR
1870, which more closely matches marriage information, which lists her as age
20 on 25 DEC 1890. However, I have included the 1871 date, because Margaret
Louise wrote it herself.
