Benjamin, son of John and Priscilla Ward, born Jan. 15, 1809, died Nov. 21, 1865, married Sallie Cathell, who was born Dec. 26, 1808, died Oct. 16, 1878. Children: John, born Jan. 16, 1836; Benjamin P., born Apr. 18, 1840. died Nov. 23, 1863; William, born Feb. g, 1842, married Sally H. Smith, who was born Sept 27, 1844; is a farmer, merchant and postmaster at Ward P. 0., Del. Lavinia A., born Oct. 10, 1844, married Rev. John B. Jones, who was barn 1833; they have one child, Alfred Lee, born Dec. 31, 1889. Joseph, who lives now in Philadelphia, born Mar. 13, 1847, married Annie Fooks, who died Mar. 15, 1887; children, Harry J., born Mar. 2, 1879, and Maurice. Cyrus B., (twin with Joseph), born Mar. 15, 1847. married Mattie C. Smith, who was born Aug. 9, 1849; children: Mollie E., born Dec. 27, 1872; Minnie E., born Aug. 3, 1875; Harry H., born Sept. 7, 1877; Sallie A., born Sept. 7, 1879; Nannie L, born Dec. 26, 1881; Mattie E., born Jan. 25, 1884; Benny W., born Nov. 11, 1886; John H., born June 25, 1889. Cyrus Ward is a farmer and miller.

James H., now a practicing physician in Caroline Co., Maryland, son of Benjamin and Sallie Ward, barn June 27, 1849, married Ida Coates; children, Sally and Mary.

Thomas B., son of Benjamin and Sallie Ward, born Mar. 1, 1853, married Mary V. Calloway, who was born Jan. 25, 1861, and died Oct. 13, 1882: second wife, Fannie V. King, barn Aug. 1, 1865, died Jan. 15, 1887; third wife, Mary Boyd, born Nov. 4, 1860. He has no children, and is a farmer, as is his brother John.

Lavinia, daughter of John and Priscilla Ward, born 1802, married twice; by her first husband, Thomas O’Neal, she had six children; Mary Ann, George, Julia, Andrew, Benjamin and John Thomas; by her second husband, Solomon Short, she had two children, Hettie and Lavinia.

Mary Ann O’Neal, married David O’Neal. Children: Thomas, Josephus, Lavinia, George, Henry, Daniel, Priscilla, Sallie and Martha.

George O’Neal, married Margaret Ann Boyce. Children: Thomas, William, Andrew, George, Mary Ann, Alice, Ida, Lena, Joseph and Lillie.
