has a daughter, Martha Ellen, born 1886, and a son, George William. Next, Mary A., born Feb. 18, 1855; married William Morris; children, Lou, Sallie and William. Martha E. Ward (the writer), born Apr. 27, 1857. Benjamin F., born June 30 1861, married Jennie Wingate; children, William, Joseph, Emma and Arthur. Martha E. Ward married her cousin, Joseph Ward, and they live near Laurel, Del."

Mrs. Lucy Jones, Denton, Md., says:

"My grandmother, Sally Fooks, was born July 18, 1785, the daughter of Lowder Hearne; married Thomas Fooks, and their eleven children are all represented on the tree except three, Isaac, Julia and Nancy. Nancy married James Hopkins, by whom she had four children, Isaac, Tommy, Sallie and Mary. On the tree my mother, Sally Fooks, born June 12, 1819, is represented in marriage to Thomas Jones; but previous to this she married Capt. William James, Jan. 16, 1839, by whom she had three chidren, Lucy (the writer), Emma and Sarah. Captain James was a shipbuilder and merchant at Concord, Del.

"Lucy married T. A. Jones. Children: Horace, Helen, Howard, George, Effie, William, Laura, Ada, Maude and Nellie ; Horace is a physician.

"My sister Sarah married Dr. Palmer, and they live at Bridgeville, Del., and have two sons, Frank and Harry."

Mrs. Sally W. Palmer, Bridgeville, Del., says:

"I was born in Concord. Del., Nov. 28, 1844 ; married Dr. David D. Palmer, Nov. 26. 1867, and have sons. Frank Roderick, born Nov. 3, 1869, and Harry William, born Dec. 20, 1877. Frank is attending a medical college and Harry is in school. Dr. Palmer, myself and Harry are members of the Methodist church."

Mrs. Emma Jones, Harrington, Del., says:

"My grandmother was Sally Hearne, who married Thomas Fooks, and my mother, Sally Fooks, married Capt. Wm. James of Concord, Del., who was my father ; he died, Sept., 1844, and my mother afterwards married Thomas A. Jones, Sr., Dec. 2, 1845. He was a man of considerable prominence in the community, having been honored with a seat in both the upper and lower houses of the Legislature of his native state, besides filling various other offices of a public nature; he died June 1, 1869.

"I (Emma James) was born in Concord, Sussex Co., Del.,
