"Not now, but in the coming years,
   It may be in the better land;
We’ll read the meaning of these tears,
   And then perhaps we’ll understand."

The body was taken to Mt. Washington Cemetery for burial."

The songs sung at the service, the passages of Scripture read,. those who were to take part, the pall bearers and all the details of the funeral were arranged by Mr. Hearne before his death, when he knew he had but a little while to live. I know you have comfort in these prospects, and reflections. My wife joins me in sincere sympathy with you all in your sorrow, and commend you heartily to the source of all comfort in affliction, the spirit of grace and the word of consolation He ministers to all who need.

Your brother in Christ,

W. S. RYLAND,
