farm in Edgefield Co., South Carolina, Eulala P. O. Children: Mary, born 1853; married J. C. Watley, and died 1888, leaving one child, Mary Hardman, born 1891. Martha Adeline, born 1854; married Mr. Hardman, of Augusta, Ga., who died 1892. Two children: Jerusha, born 1883; and Mary Jerusha. Florence, born 1855; married J. 0. McDowell, of South Carolina, children: Adaline (who married Caleb Mitchell), Johnnie, Ransom, Walter, James Hardman, Jerusha Aelaide, George Lafayette and one whose name I do not know. Arthur, born 1857; married, 1895, Miss Polatty, and have one daughter, Ethel. Edmond, born 1859, is married and lives in Newbury South Carolina, and has seven children. The Goldman family are members of the Baptist Church. Jerusha, the mother, died Feby. 1, 1904. Elizabeth, daughter of Drewry Hearne, born 1825 : married Edmond Bolton, who was killed in the Southern Army while in defense of his country. His wife died in Graniteville, South Carolina, 1889. They had three children, Joseph, the eldest, is married, and has several children. The two other, Ella and Mecca, are living in Graniteville, South Carolina.

SARAH A., daughter Drewry Hearne, born Dec. 12, 1827. In 1848 married Wm. L. Bolton, a prosperous farmer of Edgefield Co., South Carolina, He served in the Confederate Army, and was killed on John's Island, near Charleston, S. C. Children: Joannah, born 1849, William L., born 1855. Mamie, born 1860, died 1879, one year after her marriage to A. S. Bland. Tlhomas Jackson, born 1862. Edward, born 1864, died 1872. All the members of this family are staunch Baptists and Democrats. Joannah, married Randolph Edison, 1881. Children: Orrin, Hugh, Cylde and Ethel. Hugh lives in New York City and has a good position. Wm. L. Bolton married Miss Annie Holmes, 1889. Children: Eva, Frank and Homer, He is a prosperous farmer near Johnstown, S. C., and takes care of his mother in her old age.

THOMAS JACKSON BOLTON clerked several years at Johnstown, S. C., then was in the mercantile business in Batesbung., S. C., where he married Miss Mininie Buoton, 1889. In 1892 he moved to Barnwell Court House, S. C.. where he soon became the leading merchant in the town. 1896 he decided to establish business in a larger town and went to Greenwood, South Carolina, where he has been remarkably successful, and now owns one of the largest clothing stores in
