Sally Hearne, born 1816, married Lorenzo Mason, Jan. 16, 1837. Children: Henry and Angeline. Angeline, born Nov. 4, 1837 married Daniel Houtz.

William Hearne, born 1824, married Aug. 11, 1850, Jane Wheat, who was born Jan. 5, 1835. Children: Patterson Morris, born Aug. 6, 1851; Rowena Emeline, born 1855; Charles, born Oct. 30, 1860; William and Mary, twins, born Oct. 11, 1866, and Robert Lee, born July 1, 1868. Mary Hgarne died 1892. William Hearne married Elida Summason June 21, 1892. Patterson Morris Hearne is married and has several children, one of whom is a Minister and another an electrician.

When John and Nancy (Morris) Hearne, came West, they settled first at Cincinnati, Ohio, then moved to Clinton County, Ohio, then to Jay County, Indiana, to what is now known as the old Hearne farm, one or two miles west of Portland, on which is located the old Hearne cemetery.

Sally, daughter of Isaac and Nancy (Parson) Hearne, married her cousin. Elijah Hearne. Children: Elexzine, Ara, Merril and Eliza. Nancy Hearne, sister of Sally, married a Mr. Presley, and had one child, Esther Jane. Mr. Presley died and she married a Mr. Shockley. Children: Mariah, Nancy, Isaac and John.

George, son of Isaac and Nancy (Parson) Hearne, was a sea captain. He married Betsy James. Children: Thomas, Samuel, Clement and Isaac.

Isaac Hearne, (born May 1,1804 in Maryland), and in 1825 left there and went to Campbell County, Ky., where he married Miss Nancy Ann Mason, who had moved with her parents from Virginia to Kentucky. She was born April 11, 1808, and died March 2, 1902. They had one child: John Perry, born April 11, 1830. While in Kentucky, Isaac Hearne became, a blacksmith, and began married life in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was one of the contractors that dug the canal from Cincinnati to Lake Mercer, Ohio. His wife helped by cooking and washing for sixty of the men. After the completion of this contract, he removed to Jay County, Indiana, and bought 320 acres of land and began farm life. One half of this farm is still owned by some of the family. John Perry Hearne, married Miss Mary T. Morehouse, who was born in Tompkins County, New York, Feb. 3, 1834, and came
