Children: Horace J., born July 2, 1885; Howard H., born Apr. 4, 1887; Georgia R., born Oct. 4, 1894.

Jonathan, son of Daniel and Violata Tyndall Fooks, born July 3, 1774, married Nancy, daughter of Lowder Hearne, 1801. He was an independent farmer and miller, and at his death, July, 1834, owned over two thousand acres of land. His wife was born Sept. 1, 1781, died Nov., 1846. They were members of the Episcopal church. Children: Priscilla, born 1802, married Henry Bacon, and died soon after the birth of their second child; Jonathan married his cousin, Jane Fooks (daughter of Thomas Fooks and Sally Hearne); their only child, Sallie P. Bacon, married her cousin, George W. Cottingham. cHenry died Mar. 18, 1843. Jane Fooks Bacon died in Laurel, Del., Dec., 1901. She was always called Jincy Bacon.

James Minos, only son of Jonathan and Nancy Hearne Fooks, born Aug. 5, 1808, was a farmer, merchant and miller, and represented his county in the Legislature, 1836-1846, and was a member of Constitutional Convention, 1850. He married Maria daughter of James and Betsey Hearne Fooks, 1834. They were members of the Methodist Protestant church. He died Jan. 3, 1863, and his wife died July 13, 1893.

Jonathan James Fooks, oldest son, born June 11, 1835. Has been teacher, magistrate and engaged in manufacturing lumber. He married, Sept. 26, 1870, Mary E. Parsons; an only child, Ernest Raymond Fooks, born Jan. 10, 1872. Jonathan J. Fooks died Mar. 24, 1898.

Sarah Priscilla. daughter of James M. and Maria Fooks. born 1850, married John T. Gordy, near Delmar, 1871. They live in Brooklyn, New York. Children: Lillie. a typewriter for the Erie Railroad; Harry Lee, works for the West Shore Railroad. and May lives with her parents.

Henrietta, daughter of Johnathan and Nancy Hearne Fooks, born October, 1811, married, 1826, Benjamin Harvey Byrd, Salisbury, Md. His estate lying just outside of the corporate limits has become quite valuable. They were members of the Episcopal church. He died Sept., 1857, and she died Oct., 1889. Their only child, Thomas Byrd, born 1829, married Esther Parsons, 1849. He died 1857, and she 1852. One child, Annie Thomas, married Jeremiah J. Morris, and have one son, Harvey Byrd Morris.
