Davidson Hearne, son of Nehemiah and Nancy (Almond) Hearne, married Leah Caroline Melchar 1845. Children: Joan Lucky, born 1848, married Louis H. Rothrock 1867; Geraldine Porter, born 1850, married Rev. William Watkins, a Methodist minister 1875; Lucy Jane, born 1853, married Henry W. Spinks, 1877; Thomas Crump, born 1859.

Sarah, fifth child of Nehemiah and Nancy (Almond) Hearne, married E. G. L. Barringer of Cabarrus Co., N. C., 1834. Children: William Davidson, born 1835; Elizabeth, born 1837; Martha Jane, born 1840; Frances Catherine, born 1842; Lucy Anne, born 1844; Sarah Alice, born 1853; Edmund Franklin, born 1859. E. G. L. Barringer was a large farmer, and gave his children a fine education, and they are all married and doing well; most of them are living in and near Mt. Gilead, Montgomery Co., N. C.

William Davidson Barringer, married Martha A. Wall 1857. Children: James, William, Sarah, Annie, Alice, Fannie, Mary, Edgar, Frederick, and Davidson. The father died 1889 and the mother 1896 in Rockwall, Texas.

Elizabeth Barringer married Edmund De Berry Jan. 24, 1856. Children: Edmund Franklin, William Gaston, Hattie Lerone, and Annie Lightfoot. Edmund married Lula Gulledge 1881. Children: Pearl Adell, Julia Grace, Mary Elizabeth, and Edna Frank.

Martha J. Barringer married J. D. Watkins 1861. Children: Charles Garland, William Barringer and James De Jarnette. Mr. Watkins died 1867. His widow married W. J. Coxe 1874. Children: Thomas Chatterton, Frederick Jackson, Nannie Barringer, and Alice Bright. Mr Coxe died 1896.

Frances Barringer married W. S. Ingram 1864; Children: Elizabeth, Mollie Stephen, Pattie, Jennie Alice, Edmund Jerry, and William Franklin. Mrs Ingram died 1891. Elizabeth married J. B. Haywood 1887. Children: Walter Ingram, Lillie May, William Stephen, Oscar, Franklin, and Etta Catherine.

Lucy Anne Barringer married Dr. J. G. Christian 1866. Children: Robert Wall, Sarah Hearne, and Montie. Dr. Christian died 1887, and his widow married W. S. Ingram 1892. Sarah Hearne
